Recent Events
Here are some of our recent events that we've done to support the unhoused in Kingston!

HSS Equity Action Week
As part of Queen's Health Sciences Equity Action Week, KHA partnered with Martha’s Table to support food preparation, serving, and care-package assembly, a hands-on initiative focused on community care and EDIA-driven action. With volunteers from KHA and HSS, we helped provide warm meals while engaging students in meaningful service that supports Kingston’s unhoused community. We’re grateful to HSS Equity for organizing the week and inviting us to take part in such an impactful equity event!

Queen's Powerlifting Fundraiser
KHA teamed up with Queen’s Powerlifting Club for Deadlift for a Cause, a high-energy fundraiser supporting our care-package initiative. Lifters pushed their limits while raising funds to provide essential items for individuals experiencing homelessness in Kingston. Thanks to the incredible strength and generosity of everyone involved, we’re able to build and distribute even more care packages to those who need them most. Huge thank-you to Queen’s Powerlifting for helping lift our community up!

In-School Event
KHA recently visited a local elementary school for a homelessness awareness workshop funded by the Glocal Grant. Students learned how to be allies to our unhoused community, played an equity card game, and helped assemble care packages that were distributed across Kingston with the help of Zeta Psi. We are so grateful for the support and excited to continue empowering youth to create meaningful change in our community!
